i was wondering if anyone would be interested and want to start a thread for double and even if wanted triple crossovers? even the double wouldnt happen til mid-game and triple in late-game. i thought of starting a thread for it for us whos games tend to last longer and see how we differ, lemme know yes or no, if yes i will post mine tomorrow.

alright, smaller map next time, this map is huge, . ive got 45 cities already and war would take a long time moving troops to other civs, . im already over 1600 beakers before 1500 A.D., i think its almost turn 600-700 (i forget, around there tho, so alittle after turn 200 when compared to normal speed) at marathon speed. im going to have to think of this some more, if i divide my turns by 3 to compare with most of you guys, i would reach triple crossover very quickly, ive already passed 5x crossover. hmmm, maybe 10x crossover but that might take awhile for other players if they ever reach it, will have to think some more, if anyone's interested on adding another crossover past the first, im open to suggestions.

Feel free to use this thread for any crossover discussion.

my newest game that i mentioned today on another thread:
prince
huge (i use a different map script so bout 2x that of huge)
10 civs (5 of which are on same one as i)
5 continents
saladin
spiritual/protective
marathon
no tech trading/brokering (always )
turn 492 (divide by 3 to compare with normal speed, so turn 164, OUCH. had bad starting area)
960 A.D.
192 beakers w/ vassalage, -1 gold w/ 138 gold
221 beakers w/ bureaucracy, +2 gold
both were at 60% but i had just gotten civil service that turn so i listed both.
didnt get pyramids this time, was 9 turns away , so monarch gov't.
my cap was on the south eastern most part of the map with not alot of room to expand close by, maintenance costs killed me early, but am cruising and catching up and have my SoD ready for anybody. ive thought some more bout next crossovers and will list 5x and maybe 8x or 10x later on.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Neat idea, I'll have to post mine of my latest game (just got back into civ after about 11 months off) whenever it happens. Reading these scores makes me realize just how much faster the game goes on lower difficulty and faster games, my usual one is Immortal/Marathon which generally provides a decent challenge (I can survive on Deity but I'm mostly in that area between finding Immortal too easy/repetitive and Deity impossible to progress until we're all in the modern era).
Curious though, since Marathon is 3x the build speed, but only 2x the build speed for units, should I stick to the turn/3 rule or no since it effectively makes units cost 2/3 as much, giving me more time to build infrastructure/wealth/research?

if its 1.5 instead of 2 for epic then divide by 1.5 to compare with normal speed, whatever the difference on length is what you divide by.
