  • Who wants to play in a Apolyton civ 4 succession game?

I'm thinking someone would start a civ in BTW 3.19 on a huge map at marathon speed and then the first person would get 200 turns (enough to found the civ basically) and then another person would pick up the save and continue playing for the next 100 turns. Each player would write a story about what happened during their reign and post screen shots of the final results and anything they deem to be important events of their reign. Anyone interested in taking part?

I'm thinking a shuffle map, huge world, temperate climate, and medium sea level. The difficulty setting would be prince and the speed marathon. What do you folks think?

OK, I'm going to post the beginning and then the next person can run with it for 100 turns and then hand it off to the next person.

Just take the save game and unzip it in to C:\user name\my documents\games\civ4\BtS\save games\single player and then load up the save game.

That is kinda a nifty eyedear!

Ship it my way as well, preferably at a good point for war.

For a role playing aspect, No civic changes during your reign! Then when each player starts they begin with thier own revolution. But... that may be a little much.

Here's a link to the Succession game thread: http://www.apolyton.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188705

Each person will zip their save game file and then attach it to the post where they discuss the major events which occurred during their reign. Screen shots are important and expected.

I'd be interested, but my machine doesn't handle huge maps, and marathon is too slow for my tastes.

I'll likely be lurking in the shadows though.

Alrighty! Our succession game is now officially up and running. :yay:

Self Biased do you want to take the third turn once Theben has posted his results?

@Oerdin: I've had a look at your 1500 bc save. How do you feel about some "Robust, constructive criticism" ?

And would you prefer comments from the peanut gallery in this thread, or the actual game thread?

I'm fine with criticism as that's what seccussion games are for. If it is directly to do with the seccession game then post it there but if it is general stuff then post it there. I'm just thinking of keeping the game thread as clean as possible so future players don't get confused.

I can offer "robust" criticism too.
