*shrug* You refuse to post a game under standard rules, so either admit your wrong (which you are, Hauptman's screenshot is of a good OCC game underway) or post the damned save. I don't have Bhruics patch and I won't be installing it because it interferes with my MP games, and I won't be doing a dual install due to the lack of space on this HDD.You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

I find it amazing you can't even suggest a compromise, such as posting your own save, along with a screenshot, and asking if everyone thinks it's an acceptable start or whether they think it's biased.
Makes me think you're looking for an excuse to back out for some reason. Perhaps you're having second thoughts the results won't be as telling as you portend?

Wodan, did you even look at the Screanshots? I did not build one single cottage. Emporer HUGE map. I won without a race. I build my last SS part when the AI's werent even half done.
A CE only grows so much. say you cottage 16 of your 20 plots. 16 * 8 = 128 commerce. Maximum. Run universal sufferage for hammers and have a limmited production.
Yet 10 scientists alone, is 10 hammers and 90 and I'm still growing. Add in all the other GP i have and I already beat your CE's max.
That doesnt even take into acount the HAMMERS! 5 turns to build an academy. on marathon. normally a 15+ turn build with a "normal" city. 27 hammers from specialists at this point. equal to say... 5 mined plains hills, one of wich has coal.Last edited by Hauptman; April 24, 2008, 15:41.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh?...So with that said: if you can not read my post because of spelling, then who is really the stupid one?...

That's a non-factor. Lack of something does not indicate that an outcome was dependent upon the lack thereof. It does not even indicate a correlation.

Again... that's got nothing to do with anything. It sure seems like you are implying that your success is attributed to the fact that you built no cottages. Well, no, it didn't. Your success had to do with what you did in that game. It does not mean that success cannot be had with other strategies.

Multipliers.

You are implying that the CE cannot also settle scientists.
It's not a zero sum game.
Again, all this has literally nothing to do with the success, or lack thereof, that is possible with a CE implementation.
You guys are talking like I'm being obtuse. This is all straightforward logic.
It's like saying "I can run a 4/40 and I never drink milk!" And you are surprised when I say that someone who drinks milk can also run a 4/40.
And, like saying "I eat a protein bar for breakfast every morning, and it gives me energy all day." And, being surprised when I say someone else can eat protein bars too.
It's not like I'm saying a SE is worthless. Actually, I'm one of the bigger proponents of SEs and have been for quite some time.

Then play out every single possible OCC start and show that a CE provides exactly the same chance of winning, from turn 1, as an SE.You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
