Korea has the Protective trait- so you will need Praetorians.

Neapolis should've built on the pigs and you'd get iron and copper in the same city. Then you could build near the clams.

But either way that city won't produce much. The land is terrible.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Actually except for Neapolis, everything to the north is terrible. All that tundra.

Didn't know the iron was there when I built Neapolis.

        The North...

The boat has a settler and Preatorian and is going to take advantage of the marble and crab.

Lancer, you are the source of all win.

And I'm sure you'll already have settled by the time you read this, but I wouldn't settle in that tundra. You'll have the crabs and thats about it. Marble doesn't give very good yields. If you have to settle up north, settle south of the horses. You'll at least have some grassland

Also, I wouldn't settle a canal city in that desert east of Neapolis. Just build a fort.

Man, I would not want to be Rome on that map. Rome wants to be on a large land mass, with lots of minable (mineable?) hills to churn out Praetorians. This snaky map is for Financial, especially the Dutch, with their nice UU (for water maps) and Maoi Statues in every coastal river city. Of course, Hannibal and Ragnar like this sort of map too. If you win, and it seems you are on your way, you are a better player than I!

Oh, and Cumae is size 8 and working forest tiles. Whip the forge. Rome too. You have gems and it looks like gold, so you'll actually increase your happiness.

Got Ivory too, just one but that's just AOK. Just south of Ravenna.

                      "Whip the forge"

                      Nah, no slaver am I.

Question, how many Moal Statues can I build, just one yes?

Yes, just one. Make sure the city it's in has a lot of water tiles around, not just a couple - that wonder is too costly otherwise.
                          Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

I'm going to put it in the city I built on the desert hill, hopefully. The world is going to war, and I'm going with it. Since I'm half way through the Apostolic dealy and just finished the Colossis and a bunch of forges I've got nada for modern armies, but alot of potential. That's usually the story just before someone hands me my hat and shows the door...
