  • "Elite swordsmen, you are tasked by (whoever) to build 10 of them"

I'm the Roman, I can't build swordsmen. If I build Preatorians does that count?

Dunno, but I would think so.

Anyways, you can't go wrong with 10 Praetorians.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

      Yes, OF COURSE it counts!
I've done it a time or three.

Be sure to use HRule civic when you complete the last one, as you get better reward.

I didn't make it. Since I was going for all those Praetorians I figured I better get Theology first so they would be strong, but of course getting Theology nullifys the freakin deal, doh!

            What would I have gotten?

Drill I for all melee units if in Hrule when completing the quest, otherwise City Raider I for swordmen/praets IIRC.

Oh is that all? Didn't need that anyway.

I always seem to get the "build 10 chariots" event. I never even try, since I'm usually trying to slingshot Metalcasting via Oracle.

I seem to always get the stable-building event. Usually very late. I don't think I've ever completed it. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't build more than one or two stables, much less 7.

I do like the harbormaster event -- I like coastal cities and they're all gonna end up with harbors as the second or third build anyway. The payoff is pretty good too, compared to the other events that I've finished.

This is a good one if you're playing an Egyptian leader and will be doing a chariot rush.

Spreading your state religion into five cities for free is pretty good.

I wasn't impressed with the stable building event. My choices were:

                        1) All horse units get the sentry promotion
                        2) (Might have confused this one because it wasn't that good) All stables provide +1 food
                        3) 7 free Horse Archers (with no stinking promotions)

                        OH JOY!
                        Keep on Civin'
RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

I like number 2 there but that's becaise I like more food period, and every bit of food I get is useful.

Yeah, I have always gone for the free food. I suppose if I was really hurting I'd go for the free HAs, but if I was really hurting I probably wouldn't be making all those Stables.

Uh, what's the text for that? Something to do with dung?
