The saying is, "Find more truffles than a blind pig." The implication is barely competent. However, it turns out that pigs searching on the forest floor for truffles do better with sense of smell than sight. Also, such pigs are easier to control -- the searchers don't want the pigs to eat the $500+ a pound truffles, just find them. So in Italy, rumor has it, many pigs are genuinely blinded for use in truggle searching.
