Large map, continents with islands mixed in, medium sea level.

I got alph, traded for other stuff. I have iron X 2. No horse no copper. SmanII has extra horse.

I also add civs intil there are 16 on that large map. Adds excitement.

      Question...

If I put a city on the one hex grass island and a mine and road on the copper on the other island when its in my boundries will my civ be credited with the copper? The road doesn't connect to the city that's why I ask.

Damn I just found some horse on an (some horse...horses doh) island south of the Mali. In fact I'm getting island envy, that boy is set up. I've got a galley just about loaded and ready to go...

<---Me beating the drum for the rowers.

        edit, got horses.

If you have pigs, why didn't you discover the truffles?

No. You have to have a port on the island to get it.

However my experience was before forts could be placed on resources to obtain them. Maybe a fort on the resource would work, but I doubt it.

It shouldn't work unless that fort is connected by road to a city. One-tile islands with resources on them are just the map generator ****ing with you. The bastard.

He probably didn't want to blind them so they would be champion snufflers on the track of truffles.

He decided Civ 4 wasn't up to scratch so he lives in the off topic forums now I think, which I don't visit.

It's nearly a year since he posted in this thread.

He was in the civ3 thread not too long ago. Either problems with his current computer handling Civ4, or he decided the blonde was better than the bugs.
