        I'd like for some kind of whip symbol to appear on a city when it becomes able to whip-rush what it's currently building.

          Oh. So if I installed at J:\Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword, you're saying ALTROOT would put the saved game folders in there without my restating the path?

            Some balance suggestions I have.

            1) Great Spies- when infiltrating city, they should give less EP in earlier era, much more in later eras.

            2) Siege Units should give collateral damage when defending, as a counter to uberstacks.

            3) Cav Units should be able to target artillery from previous eras in flank attacks.

            4) There really needs to be a ren-era gunpowder siege unit, like a mortar/bombard

            5) First to get Military Science should get a great general, just like fascism

            6) Battleships should require Artillery. Artillery, Mobile Artillery, and Battleships should get ranged bombardment. Battleships especially so they can support ground troops.

            7) Bombers should be able to destroy ships, if not ground units. Just bombers though. Maybe make it require a promotion

            8) Grens and Marines should get city raider promotions. Tanks shouldn't. Grens should be promotable to Marines

            9) AI costs for upgrading units needs to be increased more

            10) Cristo redentor should have a 1 turn wait required for spiritual civs, 2 for non-spiritual

            11) siege units should be able to destroy other siege units, and siege units attacking should target other siege units the same way ballista elephants do cavalry

            12) There needs to be a way to remove a religion from your empire- maybe via an inquisitor unit.

            13) Collateral damage taken should increase based on the amount of units in the stack.

            I know, it seems a lot of my problems with the game revolve around siege units and how they're handled. Really, that and the uberstacks are my only real problem with the game so far. Everything else seems good to great.

              I've got one suggestion of my own.

              More Terrain Improvements. Especially for desert tiles. It drives me nuts to have tiles I can't do anything with. Irrigation? Fertilizer? I should be at least be able to increase the ground quality one level with the discovery of biology. Maybe multiple levels with other science advances.

              Not sure what I'd do with Tundra squares. Does 'Replant Forest' option work on Tundra squares?

              Glacier squares can be left as is.

                And during my last game i was just remembering: "Gosh, finally i got all tiles improved - man, and back in Civ2, there were two layers of irrigation - how annoying !"...

                    About the save path... /ALTROOT="(path)"

                    About the Happiness, Health and Whip issues, the F1 screen is your friend. No need to micromanage, just F1 on each turn. If happiness / health is not green, do something. I usually just click through the cities in this screen and check whether the Avoid Growth button is in synch with the cities that don't have both values green. If the city is whippable, you'll see the whip icon enabled while you do this anyway.

                    I know this is not ideal, but at least you don't have to open up each city every time!
