    Ooo one more issue

When Using Privateers to blockade. At the beginning of each turn when you get the "Cash" sound and the messages popup saying how much gold you plundered. This sound's volume appears to be directly related to the number of trade routes you are plundering. There does not seem to be a maximum limit to the volume of it.

i.e. In the last game i played I wanted to play with the Privateers more, so I rushed to get them. There were a couple of really prime bays that allowed a single Privateer to blockade 5 towns at once. I was making close to 50 gold per turn off of blockades alone. Each turn i got the sound it was soo much louder than the normal sounds of the game that it was causing distortion in my speakers. And I had the volume rather low since my wife was watching TV in another room.

It has nothing to do with Steam. I have the CD version and I get the same thing, though it's alot shorter than 15 seconds. In fact I get a delay anytime I open any sort of screen, even the tech screen.

When I loaded BtS, on 7/27, they already had a patch, 3.02 IIRC. Have no idea as to what problems it applies. I don't think it matters but I have the box edition.

Is anyone aware of this patch?

            Yes.

If you look at the readme, it says nothing more than that it "synchronizes versions" between different regions. Presumably to make sure MP is possible between regions.

Compared to the other bugs reported here mine is a very small one but here goes anyway:

The initial blue circle recommending a place to settle in 4000BC does not appear. My next settler will get recommendations though.

Also worker recommendations take a while to 'kick into play' and even when I start with e.g. agriculture I don't get recommendations for a spot to build a farm.

It seems a random number of turns pass before recommendation become active (not tech-related), usually by the time I get my second worker the blue circles start apprearing.

                Has anyone noticed this?

i've encountered some strange AI behavior thats flawed enough to classify as a bug. what happens is, i'll be proposing some kind of deal- a tech trade, a cease fire, whatever. ill put an offer on the table and propose it, and the AI rejects. then i hit "what would make this deal work" and the AI will propose a deal thats even worse for them, and then accept that. this has happened in most, if not all of my BtS games.

I will confirm the tendency to build forts where plantations should be. Both my automated workers and the AI workers do it. I have seen it done for both silk and incense.

Automated naval unit exploring is broken somehow.

The report on bombarded city culture defense is mismatched between the scrolling text message and the city display.

Selection of air units is still broken after a mission that does not use all selected units. The non-used units should be immediately available for the next mission. i.e. Two of the four bombers finish reducing the city defenses to 0. The other two should be pre-selected and ready for air strikes or bombing a different city. It used to work this way long ago.

Automated workers do not always flee from borders with enemy civs. In fact, if they think they have developed everything else, they will move to endangered border tiles to find something to work on. They should always avoid tiles two moves from the border until the war is over or the borders move. If a captured worker is automated from the point of the newly captured city, it will start building a railroad in the presently unclaimed tiles on its way to somewhere else. This leaves it wide open for capture via road movement. It should either run for safe space (preferably stopping at cities if it needs to in order to reach safe space over several turns) or else it should hide and wait. Automated workers should be supreme cowards.

Still, I love it. Someone should start a "neat features" thread.

                      You don't understand.

Automated workers are BRAVE! It is YOUR responsibility to have units prepared to revenge the worker bait.

Disclaimer: I do NOT use automated workers (except to try them out and then take control back out of disgust).

This was the case in Warlords too, but it occured randomly and always with Bombers. I kept wondering if it was some kind of undocumented (?) defense feature from Bombers.

1 - In my game, the only election coming from the AP were the ones to elect a new leader, which was me all the time, but I never had the opportunity to choose from different elections.

2 - I have only an empty screen on Audio Options and Game Options

3 - I do not find any way to equip Submarines or Missile Cruisers with Missiles. Neither Guided Missiles nor Tactical Nukes will go there, nor ICBMs of course.

So does anyone else have these problems?
For your third question, not sure about ICBMs but you have to load submarines with missiles in a port. You just can't fly it out there or rebase it. Once in port, you click on the sub and you should see the load icon (similar to how you do a transport).

                              a) There are a lot of joggers in the game now, i.e. units that should be at rest but are ruunning in place.

                              b) minor bit: no screen after Mt. Rushmore (ala Moai Statues), not a bug, but a bummer.

Have the same thing in my game, but that's just because I am the only one who has adopted my religion. As it spread to the neighbors they had more of a vote.

It's useful if all of your neighbors are the same religion. It prevents them from using the AP to gang up on you. Also, I used it to get them all to deny trade to one of their bretheren when they entered a war against him (by now my relig had spread to each of their civs).

it's a national wonder, can be built by every civ in every game.no national wonders get movies.
