  • 50%, as with normal vassals.

Colonies ARE vassals. They behave as vassals and the same rules apply to them, the only difference is that they start in love with you.

Haha, that makes sense. I like the possibility of having colonies, although the increased overseas maintenance does scare me somewhat. That said, it will probably make the game more challenging and that's always a good thing.
By the way, Solver how's the review going?

      • That review is the biggest pain in the butt I've ever written. I had it almost completed, decided I didn't like, so I threw about one half of it out and have been rewriting since yesterday.

Sorry, I can't guarantee it coming up today, but I hope that you would be willing to wait a little longer for better quality in the end.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck hopefully you will find your groove.

          • Thanks, I already have Only a matter of time now, and it won't take TOO long.

            • What's the story with scouts and warriors going on explore mode even when they need healing. Vanilla and warlords they would stay and heal before moving on. Now they explore with no life. I had one start exploring with 0.6 out of 2. Do we have to specificallyheal them now before setting them to explore?

Hmmm, that may be a bug....
I never use the explore option (exploring is one of the fun thing I'd like to do myself) (ok, who am I kidding, I do everything myself, except late game worker stuff )

That forces you into creating colonies, rather then paying 100% maintenance yourself

                  • Auto-workers

Not sure I like auto-workers just chopping down a forest on a hill when I have mining and a mine would have been more appropriate. No wonders being built and I am on Noble level. There was a barb about two tiles away so would this have had an affect on what the worker chose to do?

                    • I apologize if this question has already been asked, but is it a feature or a bug that BtS auto-upgrades vanilla to 1.74?

                      • I had a question about Cristo...from this shot:

It seems like you no longer have to wait five turns to make a civics or religion swap? Tell me that I am wrong, please .

You can enable the option "Workers leave forrests" (or something) in the options menu!

An worker always becomes active (ie. 'blink' so you have to give an order) if a barbarian (or enemy) unit approaches it.

There is an option you can set to leave forests. It's in the options menu. I assume this hasn't been removed in BtS?

                              EDIT: CyberShy was faster

So if you have the tech that the worker would normally put on the tile, you still have to select "leave forests" in options otherwide they will just chop the forest. Is "chop" with "no build" now the default, even if "leave forests" is turned off?
