Europe: Food production effect on population growth is reversed. The more food you produce the more your population declines from lack of children. Also the more food resources serve to decrease the health of the population due to obesity.

That's why European countries should have a UTS (Unique Tax Slider) called Agricultural Subsidies. Raising it lowers food production (but the workers remain assigned to working tiles and don't do anything productive ).

Well, if you are dumb enough to let the one-armed bandits and tables in the casinos & bars suck up your money, of course it does!

The first three years I worked the crap tables, the tables took about a third of my income. Since then, I have only made a few donations to the MegaBucks deity.

Otherwise, I've lived here for over fifty years, and at least it's a DRY heat (in the summer), and since there isn't that much foliage there aren't that many insects. I have a sister who lives in Houston, and there the summer heat is NOT dry, and the ground crawls with critters.
