  • Wait... it just happened again. I attacked the city (the ruins) following the arrow, and now my units are placed south of the city? I've never seen that happen before. The stack of units I lost the first time is not to be found on the same continent, maybe it was those who were found on another continent nearby (can't be 100% as I already had a huge stack on that tile before)

This space is empty... or is it?

    • Adagio, you have Quick Combat (Defense) activated [Options: Game tab].

It's okay to have QC (Offense) because you know what you are attacking; to have it on defense leads to situational ignorance (as opposed to situational awareness).

      • I responded to this in the other thread (I don't have quick combat defense activated)

If the enemy moves a spy onto youre nice stack it removes the stack from the enemys territory

This nice feature from the last patch is however banned from Ladder Games but can be fun If you use It elsewhere

            • Here's a couple of other "bugs":

Why can I build that wonder, when I have no state religion? When I don't have any state religion, then it's only useful for the culture benefit

He doesn't like me enough, even though he's friendly?

Not a bug. You won't benefit from the Wonder, but why should you be unable to build it? There are reasons why you might want to do so, too: denying the AI, culture if it's needed, maybe you're planning to adopt a religion later, or just want the Great Scientist points...

IIRC I tried that once, but it didn't work (or maybe it was with the other wonder like this)

But my point is more that it makes little sense for a civ without any religion to build a great religious wonder

But let's just leave it at that, I don't want to start the gameplay vs realism debate

                  • It's not a religious wonder, it's a wonder for which one of the benefits is religious.

Of course, you could debate this either way, but I definitely can not see how this can be considered a bug.

His "plusses" are beyond the treshold of "Friendly", but not quite enough for DP. Just a guess...

I every game he is in, everybody hates him...
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

That's why I used "", I know it can't be called a bug, just didn't know what else to call it

I never knew that. I had a strange one last night, killing off a city and the last marine off the boat takes the last unit out. I get the option and I raze it. The city goes puff but so does my marine. I thought he was destroyed and said WTF. I actually reloaded and did the attack a few times and the same thing kept happening. The ruins were momentarily clear of culture influence. So I just chalked it up to a bug and moved on but at the end of the next turn my unit started flashing to be moved in an area 15 squares away just outside of their territory.

So Can I assume there was a SPY in the city I killed which cause the attacker to dissappear?

This does seem like a cheap way to defend your homeland later in the game.

                              • Not sure if I am seing things but in the last couple of games I have noticed that near the end of the game (I finished them around the 1200ad mark) there seemed to be more hammers and commerce coming out of un-improved tiles than there should be. I was seing un-improved flat plains squares with two hammers. Un-improved river grasslands with three commerce (playing financial.) It looked like the same thing was happening with the improved tiles as well.

Did I miss a change in a tech or civic?

Sorry for a lack of a picture. I will see about getting one later when I am home.
