It seems that the way to get a 2-religion non-capital city is to found three religions while having two cities. The first can be founded in the capital, the other two will go to the 2nd city.Comment

Not only the CS slingshot. With masonry now being higher on the priority list for lightbulbing with Great Prophets you can't even lightbulb CS or philosophy anymore.
You can still lightbulb CoL, but after that you'll have to research masonry and monotheism and then settle for christianity. Blegh
