  • Best new leader

It is time to decide who the best new leader is.

    My vote goes to Hannibal.

Luckly there are no female leaders so we won't get any of the false votes like in the vanilla pole.

Really? I assumed the "banana addict" was a female.

My fav so far is Stalin: Free unit promos & cheap barracks, (making him an excellent warmonger) AND 50% faster wonder production.

Sure he was an A-hole in real life, but he kicks ass in the game!
    Eine Spritze gegen Schmerzen, bitte.

I vote for mehmed because he's handsome.

Well, no actually. Because i like UU, UB and both traits.

        EDIT:
Err... It seems like my vote went to hannibal? I reloaded the page before sending the vote but after choosing mehmed. Browser must have mixed something up.

Churchill! Though Tokugawa is good now too, because he was edited.

Must play more before I can decide. So far I really like the Viking UU and Churchill seems like a possible candidate for my next game

            BTW:
Ragner, who's that? It's spelled Ragnar

            Love from a Norwegian Viking

With new traits most 'old' leaders also have different traits. Caesar has an interesting combo:
setllers at double speed & 50% maintenance.
However, I doubt if the first trait really works...
don't worry about things you have no influence on...

Settler production for imp. is nowhere near double speed (good thing too). Only hammers, not food is increased, and by only 50%. Among the old leaders, I find Napoleon's new trait combo Organized/Charismatic quite interesting.

I have found that Mehmed II fits into my style of playng, especially on Large/Huge maps. Also having the UB: Hammam allowing for the larger pop before having Drama and the like.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Actually it's settlers at 150% speed, not double (200%). Plus, of course, the double-speed great general creation. EDIT: really, is it only hammers that are increased?? Wow, I'll have to keep that in mind!

What do you doubt works? Organized? It does.

I didn't put the changed leaders in because I wasn't sure which ones got chaged.

I voted for Wang Kon since he seems to be the total package of strong traits, UU, and UB.

Let’s not forget the “new” Huayna Capac: great builder traits, a starting UU that lets you neglect early military (or eliminate an AI with a turn 20 sucker punch, if you’re into that sort of thing), a early UB that makes the best early economic building also [one of] the best early cultural building (with a possible health bonus to boot), and mysticism!

Right, Huayna... that's another good one. I haven't played the new Inca yet... the old Qin traits (FIN/IND), right? Plus the Quecha which retains its combat1. Plus the terrace. Sounds good.
