I think there are a lot of worthy female leaders, but unfortunately most are from modern times - 1950s until today. As someone pointed out before, the Civ folks like to stick with WWII and earlier leaders.

Maybe they could have included Lucrecia Borgia... Not sure if she lead any nation or state, but she sure was bloodthirsty... In every meaning of the word.
No, wait, was it her... It was... Bartholy or something...I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

That's kind of a simplistic view... Nobody is putting a gun to people's head to make them watch MTV.
America pioneered in the entertainment industry (they built Hollywood, Broadway, AND Rock N Roll ). So, they managed to create a number of entertainment Meccas, if you will. Hollywood and New York are were you go if you want to be an actor, hands down.
It reminds me of Dick's The Man In the High Castle, postulating an alternate future where Japan and Germany won WWII. American culture is reduced to a novelty and Americans in fact adapt German and Japanese "ways of being." Not because those ways are better, but simply because America lost and the Axis won.

Yehaaaaa!
:
:
:The zulu impi concept sketch looks awesome. Exspecially his black feather head-dress, simply marvelous.
:
:Although I have one thing to point out> Why is the zulu impi concept art image located on that spanish site, carrying a long spear?
:According to Zulu history when Shaka Zulu rose to power in 1816, he is said to have invented a different sort of spear which had a very long blade and a shorter shaft. The spear itself was made for close combat, since shaka himself revolutionised zulu art of war. Which, before him, they only had small skirmishes. Hardly if never engaging in close combat.
:
:
:Of course its not to say he disbanded all throwing spears and equipped them with the new invention of his.
But wouldnt it seem more logical to give the Zulu UU, the Unique weapon which Shaka was said to invent?
:
:I think it would make more sense, to give the Zulu UU in CIVILIZATION 4 the Spear in which Shaka invented for warfare.
I mean come on guys! U gave the Zulu UU in CIVILIZATION 3 a Asegai that matched Shakas ruthelessness and power BANG ON!
:
:The point is, Giving a Zulu Impi a long spear, just makes him look like just another Malinese Skirmisher with black headdress and a shield made out of cow-hide!!
:
:
:
Thanks for listening guys, any replys would be most welcome.

:Something along the lines of these zulu spears shown below at this website which show the zulu spear in which Shaka is said to have invented. :
:Personally I think they look far better then long spears. I mean isnt Shaka the leader of the Zulu civilization in civ4?? Well then there you go, having the zulu impi in civ4 without this unique spear is like having a computer without its mouse.

While I guess it'd be better if he had the distinctive spear... it really isn't that big a deal to me.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

:Very true Imran. To most it doesnt seem relative that they put a zulu UU on civ4 without the Unique weapon forged by Shaka. A spear is a spear right?
:
:
:But then again, how would you feel if you played with the Viking UU "The Beserker" and instead of having an enourmous Axe as his weapon, hes carrying a 7' inch Tomahawk. Yeah, I would be shocked as well!
:
:
:Just something to think about. Did not mean to offend just trying to point out clearly, that even small incorrect details like this can make civ4 a bit "cheesy" to play.
