I think there are a lot of worthy female leaders, but unfortunately most are from modern times - 1950s until today. As someone pointed out before, the Civ folks like to stick with WWII and earlier leaders.

While most people think he invented the Internet, Al Gore actually was the inventor of the algorithm. Hence the name.

Well, of course one doesn't have to literally force anyone to adopt the conquering culture. The "conquered" culture accepts the conquering culture because it's, well, been conquered. It is a somewhat natural consequence of being conquering.

America pioneered in the entertainment industry (they built Hollywood, Broadway, AND Rock N Roll ). So, they managed to create a number of entertainment Meccas, if you will. Hollywood and New York are were you go if you want to be an actor, hands down.

True. I'm merely pointing out that it was the historical wealth of the US that funded such development. They don't really have any inherent ability to spread--they spread because they tag along with the conquering peoples, so to speak.

It reminds me of Dick's The Man In the High Castle, postulating an alternate future where Japan and Germany won WWII. American culture is reduced to a novelty and Americans in fact adapt German and Japanese "ways of being." Not because those ways are better, but simply because America lost and the Axis won.

:According to Zulu history when Shaka Zulu rose to power in 1816, he is said to have invented a different sort of spear which had a very long blade and a shorter shaft. The spear itself was made for close combat, since shaka himself revolutionised zulu art of war. Which, before him, they only had small skirmishes. Hardly if never engaging in close combat.
