    Do you mean ethnically? You have to have German blood to be a German citizen. What is an American, really, anyway? There's no ethnic American. Anybody can become one eventually.

      Some of the new screen shots show an across the horizon view from ground level. Is this in the current version of Civ 4?

        Yeah, you can toggle on a "camera flying" mode where you can basically have any view you want, including the one on those Warlords screens.

            So, you going to tell how to togle this camera or is it a 'secret'?

              It's an INI setting, and then a key combination (Ctrl-F ?) in the game. No secret, but I just don't remember.

                OK. I'll dig around here a bit to see if I can find it. I guess it was one of those things left out of the manual.

                  On the page with the screen shots it is explained how to do it.

                  ; Allow Camera Flying
                  AllowFlying = 0

                  Change the value to 1 and save, then in the game, just press ALT + CTRL + F to enable flying camera. After that, you can use the mouse to adjust camera angle and the arrow keys to navigate. To return to the normal mode, just press ALT + CTRL + F again..."

                        Hey Solver, I guess you're in Riga, but are you from Latvia or Israel?

                          I'm from Latvia.

                          Mali, by the way, were one heckuva rich kingdom. One could argue that the Mali civilization has more historical importance than the Zulus... although the Zulus sure are a Civ tradition.

                            "One could argue"? The Zulu weren't even a civilization at all, they were a small tribe, a tiny blimp on the map of history. The Mali (especially if taken combined with Ghana and Songhai) were arguably the most important civilization in Africa after Egypt, ruling a vast, advanced and extremely wealthy empire. Other contenders would be Ethiopia, Nubia, Zimbabwe and the Swahili city states. Below them you have a whole bunch of regional kingdoms of some importance like Benin, Kongo, Hausa, Kanem-Bornu, etc.

                            The Zulu are somewhere below those. Their only claim to fame is their devastating defeat of the English at the Battle of Isandlwana, but in the grand scheme of the Anglo-Zulu war it didn't even matter all that much, they were still utterly defeated 6 months later. Heck, even at the Battle of Rorke's Drift, which took place later on the same day as Isandlwana, 4-5000 Zulu lost to 139 British.

                            The Zulus never belonged in Civ to begin with, they don't belong there now Too bad it isn't my call...

                              If the Sacrificial Altar will be in the game, then there's a good chance that Enslavement will be back in Civ 4. I like the sounds of that, it was a cool ability in Civ 3. Provided of course that it works the same way as in Civ 3.

                                Perhaps you know the answer to this. Why no Babylon?
