I wonder if they will include extra movies that looked like they were planned in the first edition but were probably not completed on time. For example the seven religious shrines, the apollo project, the national wonders, and the 4 times when you move to a new age. I know the movies are window dressing but they are fun to see.

I sure hope so. Nothing can compare to the shock of when I built the Temple of Solomon and saw that the "wonder video" was actually a still of concept art.

A movie for the diplomatic victory would be cool.

That's a great point. These would be wonderful to see. Something else I would like to see is the palace screen that was cut but is still mentioned in several files.

Yeah, it's funny how everyone seems to have forgotten about that.

I miss Civ 1's palace, though.

I'd also like a Civ3-style military adviser screen which, once I have planted a spy in an enemy city, shows me nice, neat lines of unit categories and how many my opponent has.

It's really the little details that make it such a great game. The same is true of Civ2 and not Civ3.

Here is a thought. What do you reckon the Aztec Sacrificial Altar replaces? All I can think of is the Obelisk, but can't be sure. Also, it seems like I might be 'infecting' their minds . My recent Civic Mod includes a Religious Civic called-SACRIFICIAL. It brings in Gold and Food (tribute from other nations to avoid being placed under the knife) but costs culture. Maybe they will have something like this too?

I hope warlords has paratroopers and a few other improvements for the later parts of the game

There's also the possibility that the Aztec unique building replaces a general building also introduced in Warlords.

I think obelisk is the most likely choice. It's an early "religious" building, buildable with mysticism and unless they add another generic building to be replaced, nothing else fits (they wouldn't have it replace the temple or monastery, since these are religion specific, so it would be weird having the Christian Sacrificial Alter there ).

Surely no weirder than a Hindu using a cow resource or an Islamic city using a pig resource?

I am hoping that this sort of thing will make the game even better. i.e. the alternate universe in which the Aztec Christians send unbelievers to their temples for ritual sacrifice .

And Stalin who makes an appearance in Warlords was most certainly never the leader of Russia.
