Civ4 would better have an XP or 2 and they'd better be an economical success, or else Civ5 will be awful. If Firaxis and Take2 are not able to milk more money out of the game with little effort, because it is too perfect, they will correct this shortcoming in the next sequel. So you all better pray for an XP.

I think that Civ 4 is good as it is, but I noticed that there are some things that were purposely left out of the game... Like 2 leaders for all civs, strange gaps in the tech tree, some badly designed advisors (such as the military advisor)...

To me, this discussion is mostly irrelevant, because when Firaxis conceived Civ4, they were already planning to release an x-pack. It will happen.I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Oh I would like an XP if I could get a working interface, but thats not what sells games theese days, so I guess I'll just have to live with a crappy 3d interface that tilts a bit up as you zoom out, just before switching to a distorted view of a planet.Visit my CTP-page and get TileEdit and a few other CTP related programs.
Download and test SpriteEdit development build.

If they add more leaders they'll start getting duplicate traits. In fact, only Philosophical/Industrious and Creative/Organised remain without a leader.

Whos got those concept arts of the leaders that were released? Weren't there two left over? Hammurabi I'm thinking...? They also showed that they've swapped Kublai Khan and Qin's diplomacy models.

 Maybe they'll add new traits?

Except, having religious victory in the game will mean more game concepts and possibly development and balancing time devoted to religion, and I think there's already too much of that already. Having people talk about "grabbing religions" and "building all the shrines" and missionaries and "different religious buildings" and whatnot makes my beloved Civ less beloved and less CivOriginally posted by MikeH
I don't particularly want or understand the religious victory but I assume you could turn it off so if people wanted that, fine. That doesn't sound right. There's 8 traits so there should be 64 combinations, and there's currently only 26 leaders. So there should be lots of room for more leaders with the game as is.Originally posted by Senethro

No, that's correct. You only get 64 traits if you multiply 8 by 8 - that is, counting combinations like "Organized & Organized" and counting "Organized & Industrial" and "Organized & Industrial" as two different combinations. There are 28 unique pairs that can be chosen from a group of eight traits.Originally posted by Willem

I believe it had something like 10 000 downloads in version 0.7, before download sites all over the net starting putting it up and the creator lost track.Originally posted by Urban Ranger
How many people have heard of the "Fall from Heaven" mod? Not me, and I visit the forums frequently. Does that answer your question?

Yes I see that now. I just tried working out the combinations in Notepad and each time you go down the trait list there's one less possible combination since it's already been covered by the trait before. So 28 is correct.Originally posted by LordShiva
