I am still trying to work out why I am considered a newbie?
Grammar 'n' Punctuation 'n' Spelling, basically.

Enigma_Nova sounds like a mean and petulant drunk to me. I think the original poster is correct.
You are correct that I am mean and irritable, and incorrect about me being drunk. I am self-absorbed enough to be as uncivil as I want and not care.
... Hey, I'm not skilled at diplomacy, so I just accept the fact and annoy people however and whenever I feel like it. Life is good.

      Oh, and Nice +3

        Enigma,

cowards usually dare to be uncivil on the internet, especially when there's no reason to. It's easier that way if you are not so cocky in real life, then one can take it out here.

And a word of advice, you may or may not succeed in putting Destroyer down with silly attacks on spelling and grammar, but to most of the rest of us, I can guarantee you make yourself look less than smart to put it mildly, whether drunk or not

You do a good job of speaking for everybody.
While it is true that people who are afraid to be jerks in the physical world can be jerks on the internet,
People who are jerks in the physical world are jerks online as well
I lose nothing by being true to myself.
The biggest thing I'd lose by being a natural ***** is the opportunity to work in jobs with people I hate, which doesn't bother me.

Some people seem to think that violence is a deterrent against being rude. From my experience, the people that use violence would use it anyway, and if someone needs to get hurt then grabbing the nearest weapon and stabbing someone makes people fear you. Of course, violence is rarely effective - but it's fun when it is.

Popularity is a non-issue since I respect people who work effectively, and my beef is with people who are morally against me spreading or keeping my views - such an issue rarely arises with Bus Drivers or Landlords.

If I fail diplomatically so be it, but it seems I'm enjoying it regardless!

Of most of the rest, yes. Thank you. I think you know, in this case, that this statement of yours is true.

No, I'd rather say that the opportunity for theatrical performance exist here on the internet. Some people like that part.

The second sentence you put here is actually funny.
And, you lose nothing? What a simplistic dumbed down view of things. It sounds more like you have judged it is the easiest and most comfortable path, and a path that makes you feel good about yourself, and that at taking that path you feel that WHAT you lose doesn't weight up to what you win.
It can be hard work to show respect at times and especially to adapt when it doesn't come naturally at all in life. Some people aren't born with the social/empathetic skills and accept the fact that they will never be good at the social game in THAT sense so they choose to walk a path that is easier for them. Some people are emotionally retarded genetically and really doesn't understand these things from an emotional point of view at all but only from a logical point of view and that's why they choose a non-empathetic path.

Of course, violence is rarely effective - but it's fun when it is.
You're such a child. Saying "violence is fun when it is effective" must have been really exciting for you! Wow, what an awesome guy you are! You really have a cool image here on the forums and must have at least a few friends at home who look up to you! But then again, perhaps you do fall into the category of emotionally retarded people. But I don't think that's only the case. You sound very immature in a dumbed down way as well.

If I fail diplomatically so be it, but it seems I'm enjoying it regardless!
You fail in so many things. And grammar and punctuation at times as well. But don't worry, I fail at times too..

Best way to avoid a prolonged argument is to stop arguing.

Ergo, people who 'complain' about others are actually looking for a fight. I know all this thanks to my study of some of Freud's books.

Sometimes the things we speak out loudest against are the things we deep down desire the most.

30 seconds effort and you could have answered your own question, instead of being lazy and posting a question you could have easily answered on your own. By the way, the 30 seconds of your own effort would have given you an answer more quickly than posting and waiting for someone else to answer it for you.

I never belittled anyone, I suggested maybe you should put a bare minimum of effort into figuring out the obvious questions before you ask someone else. You are the one making personal attacks... as if someone's proficiency in a video game has anything to do with their worth? Plus, I knew the answer and you didn't, which makes any game knowledge insults that much less effective. In any case, that's the wrong path to take to try to insult me, since I work in the video game industry and am credited on more than a dozen games, including Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and Neverwinter Nights.
Give the OP a break. If you were really concerned about people having to read useless posts, then you shouldn't have posted either.

                          1 Corinthians 13:
"If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophesy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing."

A person can be a genius, but the lack of skill in how that person argues can make him appear more ignorant than wise.

"Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it."

IMHO, some folks in this thread need to work less on trying to appear wise, and work more on being skilled and virtuous in delivering their wisdom.

Hmm...I'm fairly new to these forums, but it can be done elsewhere. Is it possible to block posters so I don't have to read anything by them?

(This is a rhetorical question - I'm aware I can probably find the answer for myself.)
