Civ 4 Music :)

The music in Civ4 is absolutely fabulous.

I just download it on my Mp3 player, and i send some piece to one of my friend. Ok yeah, i'm already in love with classical music!!!

Now i need to know the name of some composer who compose the music in the modern folder. I'll check in the booklet.

The opening song is plainly addictive.

So, A+ for the music!!

Oh yeah, but i dont succeed to make the game work on my radeon. But it works on my Intel GMA 900 with a good speed!! YEAH!!

The song is a prayer for God.(what is true, is a prayer in Swahili) But for us, CivPlayer. Our God is the Almighty RNG. Maybe we'll have some luck if we listen hard this song!!!

I was wondering what language Baba Yetu was..Its the load screen song, so it builds great anticipation in me whenever I hear it....

I dont know about anyone else, but at the very beginning when the girl starts humming, with the shot of the earth from space, I am always reminded of the opening from Battlestar Galactica...the hum is the same just at that one part.....

Here is a rough translation. Everything is mixed around, so I had to compensate. Tin added a bunch of extra "yetu"'s ("our"'s), so I took them out in the translation. I didn't understand some of the grammar, so I looked up key words in a dictionary and pasted corresponding Lord's Prayer from NKJ version of the Bible.

I immediately recognised "The people are the heroes now" in-game. It certainly was a brave decision to take only classical music to the modern era, hats off to whoever decided that

Most of the music tracks are bits from the opera "Nixon in China" IIRC.
