How Many Hours / Day Do You Plan to Play Civ 4?

My target will be 14 hours a day for atleast 2 years (that includes modding and playing mods ofcourse). Unfortunatly some real life stuff will probably intefere with the civ-time.

I took time off of work to be able to play civ4. 7+ easily, probably closer to 14, for thursday -> sunday.

As long as I like. I get home at a few minutes after 3. So after Lou Dobbs, I can be at my computer at 4. I go to bed at 10, so I could play about 6 hours per night. My wife will bring dinner to me, so I don't have eat at the table.
Next Tue or Wed I will play for at lease 4 hours or more. On the weekends if nothing is going on, I can play with some breaks from 9 or 10 in the morning to 10 at night.

If it is as good as it seems now, 5-6 hours on a normal work day, and 12-15 hours at weekends. I think that averages into the 7+ hours category.

Since the girlfriend and I split up I won't have someone to "remind" me about real life going on outside! Woohoo! So besides work calling me in now and again... I'll be conquering the world at my leisure!

3 - 4 hours to begin with. For the next 3 - 4 months

When the game has become familiar, settle down to 1 -2 hours a day.

Then back to 3 - 4 hours or even greater when it is time to start work on the mods.

I plan to only spend 1-2 hours/day to play this game, but I guess when the time's up the "just one more turn" kicks in and 7 hours later my alarm tells me to get back to school, while I'm still playing Civ IV


I really wish I had a laptop so I could use the time to and from school each day

Just wondering if you can play 5 to 6 hours on a normal workday what time do you start/end working? Or don't you need any sleep? (If I haven't my 8 hours sleep during the week I start looking like a zombie and cannot stop calling in a low rumbling voice 'Brains..' )

I've got the rest of the year (more or less) to Civ away to my heart's content, as much or as little as I like. Could be some twelve hour days in there, somewhere! I will have to go back to work at some point, but enh. Maybe next year.

The first RB Civ4 tourney game should be open by next weekend.

1- 2 hours on average. I wish I could play more, but RL is keeping me busy and will so at least for one more year.
