2) Save/Reload file corruption

A before Christmas patch, when lil jimmy goes to install Civ4 that he got for Xmas on christmas eve/day, he'll probably find one or two little things wrong, and go look for a patch. if he can't find a patch, he'll set it aside.Comment

I agree with the pre-Christmas rationale as described by H Tower. If there are any nagging video/sound/install issues they'll patch it up by the second week of December.
Any major enhancements will be introduced with the scheduled Pitboss and SDK release, IMHO.15 years of Civ addiction and counting.Comment

I don't think it will be buggy at all except for some fatal flaw in multiplayer which they will patch almost immediately. So I say about November 9th at maybe 16Mb.~I like eggs.~Comment

If the patch countains art (new maps etc.) then 200MB is certainly possible, other than that:

Look, I'm trying to be civil. I haven't called Soren a hack in almost a year. I even changed my screen name so they wouldn't be reminded that I reminded them of all their failures with Civ3.
