Hmmm, I'll try to go straight into monoteism, if you don't mind. I don't like sacrifice: they tend to be around human beings and often fired back with the old priest as last offer to the new gods...

I'll read a little while installing, then play for a while. Will wait for the next bowel movement before reviewing in depth.

It's Civ, and you're a polytubby, do you really need a manual?
Not really. But I love manuals. Specially Civ manuals.

Anyway, I voted “I'll read some of it to get important concepts then play- finish it later”, because my real choice isn’t there. I’ll read the manual and play my first game at the same time. That’s the beauty of turn-based games.

Agreed. And I really love my Civ manuals.
Of course, I want it be in-game also. So, why not have both?

Absolutely! I hope they include a good manual and not the crap the some games come with these days. The manual is an important part of the game experience.

The main bottleneck with game manuals is they get ordered for printing in time for the planned release. Therefore the final artwork and book layout has to be "gold" well before the actual game is "gold" -- sometimes there are differences between the two because of this gap, to say nothing of after patches!

OTOH, "print on demand" is becoming more available and perhaps that is leading to being able to update the content on the fly as well. Otherwise we will have to rely upon the likes of Poly.

                        what is a sacrafice?
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Sounds like the old Greeks: "Primum vivere, deinde philosophare".

                          Primero vivir, después filosofar

Live to the fullest and then philo about it all.

Lo traduco come "un sacrificio (alle divinità)", anche se c'è un errore ortografico nell'originale inglese. Ciao
