Wait? No way... but I don't want to spend more money on getting it shipped from America

I just do what I always do:
Find the game, download it, play it. And then 6 months later when it finally gets to Denmark I'll buy it there... the cd will never be used

There's only one thing that can stop me from buying it in DK, and that is if they ship a localized version only. If that happens I will probably get them to ship the game
Yes, I know it doesn't really make a difference for me since I use the American version anyway, but there's no way I'll show support in the localized version
This space is empty... or is it?

Same here, hermano. By any means. And I mean it!

Moreover, I'll order a copy at Amazon AND in a reseller here in Brazil, just in case. And I’ll finish with two copies. Btw, I have two copies of Civ III (not to mention the expansion pack!), as I said before… It was a similar situation.
Actually, at the end I'll buy 3 copies, because my son lives with his mom and I'll give it to him, as a gift. And no, I’m not a rich man. Not even close!

The thing which Infogrames did with Civ 3, i.e. first publishing the Original Version and then, a lot of months later, the german translation, was rather unusual for a games publisher in germany
I'll wait...The version will by the way be in english in belgium except maybe the manual. Although i do prefer the original version I would not have a problem with a 'dutch' version since it is not the language that makes the game so good...

No, but a language can kill a game. Danish is a "baby language" and I'm not interested in playing a game that sounds like it's made for 3 year olds

I'll probably wait. I don't really want the French version. In fact, I'd probably prefer the English version (French CtP2 is very annoying to get mods installed so I'd rather avoid that).
Still I'll probably wait because I'd like to see the reactions to the game here, and a few patches to be out. So I'll wait, and buy it sometime when I feel like learning Python, which is the foreign language CivIV's written in anyway..

Same here bud, really don't want to play it in Dutch. * shivers *

While talking about this "hate your language" thingy I can mention that I really do hate Microsofts site. Some time ago after a re-install of WinXP I went to download their messenger software. I'm using the American version of Windows, I went into the microsoft.com (not .dk) and downloaded and installed it... as soon as I started it I noticed it was the danish version so I quickly uninstalled it again and went on a search for the english version of it...

Why do they have to tell us what language we should have? Why don't they have a language choice in the program?

This would be a very interesting discussing subject but off topic in this thread.

anyone wants to continu this discussion (but on another thread/forum)?

The most annoying thing I encountered in a translated game (for example in CtP2) is to translate everything,
but keep the lexicographical order within the civilopedia like it was in the english original, so that for example, if you search for "Panzerschiff" (Ironclad) you can´t find it at the letter "P" but have to look under "I"
