                            Establishing a dynasty doesn't require that one is heterosexual or even heterosexually inclined.

                            I certainly don't imagine that the Macedonian soldiers expected to marry Iranian wives all suddenly fell in love at the same time, nor for instance that daughters of Chinese Emperors or aristocrats who had to marry Mongol or Turkic leaders were particularly fond of the idea.
