That would make sense, but then again, they could be tripping LSD or CTP and make this the Civ List:

    Canadians
    Dutch
    Finnish
    Hmong
    Incans
    Iroquois
    Jamaicans

    • I'd rather see the Khmer instead of the Hmong in their region.

Well, if it meant that it would be at the cost of a civ that really deserved to be in the game (ie. Greeks), then I'd rather see the region empty.

I don't think the Greeks would like the South-East Asia region anyway.

            • Well, the Khmer certinly do deserve getting in better than some others that've been suggested.

More claim than the Romans -- the Romans' culture, architecture, philosophy, religion, and even their world outlook were all copied from the Greeks.

Then the Byzantines reverted to Greek culture too.

                          Greeks!

                            Greeks!
                            I disagree on two points.

The Romans have as much right as any civ to be in the game, because they were one of the world's most dominant civilizations for hundreds of years. With the exception of Asia, it conquered almost all the known world at the time. Simply for its military might, it would be a top 6 civ for me.

Also, Romans DID kinda invent the Aquaducts, unless theres evidence I havent read.

I didn't say the Romans shouldn't be in. However, the Romans would not have been the civilization they became were it not for the Greeks.

As for military conquest, what about Alexander?

Yes, the Romans did invent the aquaducts, but they built off of the architectural legacy of the Greeks.

Again, I DO think the Romans should be in the game. But I disagree with putting them preferentially before the Greeks.

                              • We all have our preferences. There, we will have to agree to disagree.

The Greeks were one of the greatest civilizations of all time. They belong in the game.

IMHO, the Romans belong just as much or more because of their impact on history. The Greeks gave them more culture than we could probably ever measure, but the Romans were the upstart little civilization that eventually ruled the entire Mediterannean area.

Each have their own selling points.

But again. We'll never agree on 1 civ being more significant. Too many ways to measure that, and too many ways to disagree. Thats the nature of things.
