Babylonian? What is Babylonian?
Agade is a well-known Babylonian city. Of course, it might be Akkadian or Assyrian or whatever as well, but considering the Babbies have featured in every Civ game to date...

- Some religious symbols in the city balk have a star with them. (david-cross + star, halve moon + star)
It was speculated in another thread that this most likely identifies the holy city for that religion.
- some cities have an hour-glass (?? zandloper in dutch) and a +nr (where nr is a number) next to them, does that mean: 1 turn before the cities grows.... 1turn before the production is done?)
Contrast in this picture isn't great, but it was seen in IGN's screens as well. It's not an hourglass, that's a tower. It looks remarkably like a chess piece. It was speculated that it indicates a defensive bonus for the city.

Why is it that the borders are "out of shape"? Can you grab land?
Nah, just regular borders but with lots of cities close to each other. But with the city info not visible it's hard to make out the cities in this image. There's an English city in the middle of the white patch. There's an Egyptian city 4 tiles east. There's a Babylonian city 3 tiles west and 1 north (with very little culture as it's almost swallowed by English borders; but there are another 2 cities further west which do have large borders and block further swallowing). There's another Babylonian city 4 tiles south and 1 west. Only to the north the English border can grow somewhat freely.
IGNPC: Though Civilization 3 was great, it lost some of the presentation that we loved in Civilization 2. While it might be naive to ask for a return to talking advisors and wonder videos, are you doing anything to add to the overall personality of the game?
Barry Caudill: We have definitely ramped up the production values in this version. The new 3D world and all that it brings will certainly up the ante over any previous version of the game, we're hiring voice talent for various parts, and I am happy to announce the return of wonder movies...we'll have over 45 spectacular movies in the game.
FANTASTIC!!!

2nd look; I think I've been wrong on that. the halve moon comes with a tiny green star in all cities, but that's defenitly not the big gold -star. I have misseen it.
YOu're most obviously right.
the yin yan symbol was already reported, wasn't it?

well, in some screens I think there are more cities with such a star 'in' the religious symbol.... I'll take a look for that again...
Never more than 1 per religion per game: Hastings (Islam) and Timbuktu (Judaism) in the Gamespot screenshots and Madrid (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism) in the IGN screenshots.
Edit: okay, solved.
Yes, Yin-yang I reported in my first post. It's traditionally a Taoist symbol.
Sorry if it was already answered before, but is it confirmed that the mountains will stay as they are now? Just pointing out of it's tile instead of forming whole ranges and such like I remember from previous Civ versions?

Health of cities depends on fresh water supplies. On one of the screens, fresh water shows +2 health.
Available unit actions (Spearman screen): Disband, unknown (a tile with a flag - claim land?), patrol, fortify, explore, pillage.
Available minimap views: normal (territories), military (?), religious, resource.
Next screen, with several cities, we can see workers irrigating a tile. Looks like 4 workers there - probably the multi-unit stuff. Note that Agade and Cherokee have a green Islamic symbol, half-moon and a star, but on Hastings, the star is yellow. Could that indicate the city is not of the same religion as the state religion? Or that it's undergoing conversion?
Still no numbers till production complete visible on progress bars near city .
A triangle of three yellow arrows visible on cities. Possibly means that production queue is looping. On Cherokee, the Tower sign and +10% can mean a defensive bonus of a fortified unit - note the Longbowmen in the city.
Next screen can see a galleon and fisheries. So we're probably getting sea-based terrain improvements now like CtP. Timbuktu also has a yellow star near the Star of David - again, perhaps converting to another religion? Also, it has a big yellow star to its name. Holy city?
Buddhist symbol - a golden statue of Buddha.

You are probably right. It's just that I've not seen it in any list of more or less confirmed civilizations, and when you just state it's a Babylonian sighting I were looking for something that said Babylonian in text. So what is that flag the units of Agade are holding? It looks like some sort of yellow Octoroc to me.
The units look a little strange, with five models all looking the same. Why noy not the old style model, too many sprites on screen will just confuse things and slow down the game. Unless I'm wrong.

I'm guessing that the number of people per unit is indicitive of the health of the unit.
