The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

How about health influencing population growth?
City improvement such as Aquaduct, Sewer System and Hospital could reduce the number of food needed to make the city grow (similar to Children's Creches in SMAC), while high mineral production & thus pollution could reduce health and thus slow down growth.
Expect a very PC/marketing answer. ( which I would do too).
I want to have a non-marketing one from Soren .
I'm afraid I can only say: Dream on...
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

My nephew is now 5 and he watches my brother play Civ 3 all the time, even demanding to help out by making the little units fight.
What I loved about Civ I, which I first played as a teen, was that in addition to being a fun game, it sparked a genuine interest in history and a desire to learn more about the civilizations in the game. I think it's no coincidence that so many posters here are huge history buffs and that their enthusiasm, if not sparked by Civ, was certainly fanned by it.
If Civ 4 can continue that with youngsters, I say it will be doing something great.
It's even used in some schools IIRC. ( think it was Sweden )

The CivFanatics only had a link to PC World's Main site, and google's site search on PC World for civilization 4 only found some old articles there for civ 3 [back in 2001] and and some random games with "4" in their title.

Correction: Expect no answer.
Soren came to post one thing to clear up some long-running misconceptions. If he posts here again (especially about something like that) I would be very very surprised.

ANy particular reason why?
Soren's not one to offer any more information than necessary.
Note he's only posted twice in this forum, one to verify he's watching the list and the other to correct some false beliefs. He comes here to read, not to post.
Ah ok, I thought you meant it was a Poly(Vs CFC ) kind of thing, which would have made little - if any - sense.

The article is not available online, only in print. And from what I gathered for now only to subscribers of PC Gamer. It will be another week or two before non-subscribers will be able to purchase the issue (or that's what I heard anyway).

If your ego needs feeding (and I know it does ), I believe Apolyton is 2-1 up on CFC as far as Civ4-related Soren sightings are concerned
I don't quite see why Firaxis would let such early screen shots be published. Seems to me it is just a surefire way to get people *****ing and moaning about something despite it not being remotely done.
Or maybe it's a subtle trick! By releasing them, it makes everyone think the graphics will suck, so when the game comes out and they don't suck, people will be more impressed. AHA!
