    Trip,

Its better that if you dont know about someting dont argue. Just wait for some time and you will know who has bought it. I have already informed you. Now time will tell.

Care to explain how a company like Paradox could afford a 25 million dollar license?

        What you think PARADOX are?

        Trip,

What you think PARADOX are? I think it is needless to say that in Strategy games they have a great name. You are underestimating their potential. Recently they have made some big changes and bought the rights of "Diplomacy" and "Squad Leader". Soon after their upcoming release "Hearts of Iron 2" they will begin on "Civilization 4" and let me tell you one thing more; it will be a real time game, not turn based. And if you want to know more you will be able to read it on gamespot after some time.

I'm well-informed on who Paradox is and what they do.

Their recent release of Victoria didn't do so well... they're not a large company and there's no way they can afford a 25 million dollar licence. Yeah yeah, I know, I'll see... Sorry, but there's no way to snap one's fingers together and make 25 million bucks appear.

So, how long will you stick around the Civ forums? Assuming, in the unlikely event, that Paradox isn't the buyer, will you still be around?

CIV IV is not going to be EUII

I suggest you take a look at this thread:

Whats in Civ 4, just the facts, ma'am

What do you base your statements on?

Civ4 is already in development by Firaxis.

Whilie it is possible that Paradox Entertainment, among a long list of companies, might have bought the name I don't think they would make Civ a RTS game.

If it were Paradox, I hope it wouldn't be any less appropriate for all audiences than Civ has been. And it would not be Civ if it were real time, and I figure it would be less appropriate for all audiences. If these changes were made to Civ, another game would have to step in and fill the niche of True Civ.

                          Mark my words.

An "investor" is not going to pay 25 million for a franchise just in order to change it.

                          It aint gonna happen

It's not Paradox it is Firaxis and Soren confirmed it.
