Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Thank God I'm not alone. The identical sound effects to Civ IV make it just feel like an elaborate mod. I'm bored of Civ IV sound effects.
If and when we get Alpha Centauri 2, it better not be God damned Civilization IV: Alpha Centauri...
Considering that EA has the "rights" to AC, I doubt we will be seeing a Civilization IV:Alpha Centauri anytime soon.
But that is a topic for another thread and probably another forum
Im not sure I understand what the issue is either? And is this on the regular size Western Hemisphere, or the Large size?

If you start with a regular scenario, then yes, you will start there. However, if you make a custom scenario, using the huge map, then you end up on the bottom starting point, at least as England.
Has anyone noticed, that it takes 6 turns to go from the northern staring point to the new England?
con,
The problem is that the game will not vary starting point. I spent two hours or so trying to get the northern starting point. In the end I had to make a worldbuilder save and edit it in order to get the northern slot.

OK I think I get it now. You wind up in the "Southern Sea Zone" everytime.
Ill have to check this out as well eventually.
Im playing the standard game right now but wanted to play the huge map eventually.

Most of the sound effects are the same, and you know it. Quit pretending this isn't a cheapo mod that they're using to rape the 1994 nerds with.
Maybe I enjoy rape?
Don't you belong in OT?

It is called total conversion, which is, yes, elaborate mod. It is not colonization 2, it is Civilization 4: colonization.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so
certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

That's true in the sense that Civ4 is a total conversion mod of Morrowind... ie, it uses the same basic graphics engine (Gamebryo). I'd say that Col is different enough from Civ4 at the gameplay level to be considered an entirely different game; but that's semantics, obviously.

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
Back on topic how can you use the world builder to fix this? Spanish to the far south then Dutch, then English, then French?
When I try to "erase" the units in the wrong places and exit world builder they still show up.......

Custom Scenario (Huge)
1) placing indians, there is a specific slot for each group of indians, so, the Iroquois might span in a different location on the map, based on where you placed them in the start up screen.
2) There are a lot of default setting looking into the worldbuilder save.
a) resources regenation is false
b) the euros starting location regen are false
I'll post more later

I remember re-starting the original one to get the northern area. It just seemed wrong to colonise the south while playing as the english. I preferred historical accuracy at all times. I'll be pissed off if I have to bugger around with world builder just to get what I desire.
Looks like they found a bunch of retards to do the play testing.
