I think that is an accurate description of the Greek Artillery. Its a fairly good description of American Artillery I can assure you.

I know of one troop that built a very large potato launcher. So large that it was more of a watermelon launcher than a potato launcher.

Back when my father was a U.S. Army artillery officer, they apparently did joint exercises with both the Turks and the Greeks, among other NATO allies.
