  • "Revenge porn" or just sour grapes?

A victim of "revenge porn" describes her difficult battle for justice - especially when the photos used do not contain nudity.

So this woman in the UK is complaining that officials won't take any action against her ex boyfriend for posting her picture online on facebook where he complained what a bad relationship partner she was. In the photos she was fully clothed so officials ruled it was not porn and so not covered by revenge porn laws.

It is worth noting she consented to having the photos taken at the time and actually posted some of them on Facebook herself but she objects to her ex posting them along with negative comments about her. Personally, I see this woman as really stretching things to the point of deception when she calls it revwnge porn when there is nothing pornographic about the photos.

Her complaint seems to boil down to "I am made someone said something mean about me" so now she makes up a completely false and slanderous lie about revenge porn. Sure, the guy wasn't being classy but that ia not a crime and he still has free speech rights so lying and pretending any revenge porn was involved just boggles the mind.

    What is your take, Apolyton?

I'm surprised he didn't just block her on facebook. Then she'd not have seen his comments about her.

She's conceited enough to claim that men fap to her fully clothed pictures. Thus => Porn.

If it's uploaded to a pron site, it's obviously being used as porn...

According to the link you posted, someone took photos she posted on Facebook and uploaded it on a porn website. Your summary is inaccurate, IMO

If it was Facebook then he's probably being a dick but shouldn't be stopped from doing so. If it was a porn site then he's definitely a dick and should also be stopped.

It was a porn site (revenge porn?). She's getting money offers for sex, so clearly he put her in a bad situation. He's a dickwad, and should be held to account.

i agree with the three posts above. putting someone's photos on a porn site - even if the photos are not themselves explicit - is a low move, and he should be held to account for that.

Where do you come up with this stuff? Do you hang out at a private forum where you all form your own echo chamber and sniff each other's farts until you are high? Seriously, come back to reality, Sava.

Well, you criticize Muslims, are insensitive to women and sundry foreigners, have touched a gun in your life, etc. You are, like everyone else on here except MrFun, less progressive than Sava. But rest assured that, as far as I am concerned, you're still largely a lockstep liberal.
