The key here is intentionality. Sterilization would fall afoul of this whereas infertility would not. The only case where infertility would come up is if this was known and was not disclosed prior. It's quite possible for a couple to not know and then discover later that infertility is a problem.

Insemination is the other end of it. Contraception divides the unitive from the procreative aspects of sex, and insemination divides the unitive from the procreative in the exact opposite way. Conjugality argues that the two have to be there together.
