That's what I was thinking! Even lurking the different RoN forums takes up too much time, what would have happened to my grades, if I actually won one?

Uhm, I hope you made a mistake in writing up some of these answers, 'cause they're not all correct...

Subotai (or Subedei) was actually Genghis's most important general. He was one of the two "dogs of war", together with Chepe. If anyone was a more brilliant commander than Genghis it was him. It was Subedei who lead the European conquests of the Mongols (among other things).

Surely every brother and his mother knows that Genghis's real name is Temujin?

That should be 4 actually: Kipchak/Golden Horde khanate in Russia, the Il-Khanid khanate in Persia, the Yuan dynasty in China and the Chaghadai khanate in Central Asia. The division was already made by Genghis himself around 1227 but these were intended to be 'provinces', parts of the same empire. By the 14th century these khanates grew so far apart they were pretty much independent...

BTW, I submitted the China questions myself, so I'm not defening my own wrong answers here

Edit: looking over the Chinese questions, I wonder what Concubine Zhen exactly you're talking about? The most famous Concubine Zhen I know is that of emperor Guang Xu and she jumped into a well and drowned...

I agree with what you say Locutus. The non-Temujin thing must be a misprint on Mark's part. And yes, the Mongols actually broke into four different Khanates. I thought about messaging Mark about that myself, but I was lazy and just voted for three.

In addition to the Subotai screwup, 'Ghengis Khan' was not his 'adopted name' it was his title "ruler of the universe"..

I missed the competition so I think locutus and I should get beta versions of RON for keeping quiet about these little SNAFU's.
