        I figured as much. It does not seem that much different from Sim City 3000. I guess the only time that you would want to get Sim City 4 is if you never played the games. I am gald I did not buy it.

          I don't think that Rise of Nations and Civilization III can be compared. Rise of Nations is a real time strategy game with turn-based elements, while Civilization III is strictly a turn-based game. The perfect strategy game, in my opinion, would include empire management and diplomacy (Civ III style), city building (Pharaoh & Emperor:Rise of the Middle Kingdom style) and, of course, military resolution of international conflicts (Age of Kings & Age of Mythology). We are probably a long way away from this ever happening, so it's better to alternate and play games that excel in each of these respective areas depending on the type of mood we're in (builder vs. war monger, for example). What else can we do?
