Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I believe they can damage cities but not destroy them.
will check
bombers do the same. they destroy building but can only "reduce" a city to a minimum health level. then you have to send in the infantry to fight out the citizens inside the city
When in diplomacy mode is it a series of click options that you make? Or do you need to enter amounts of tribute by keyboard?
How does pop limits for units work? How many pop units does it cost per unit? Is it expensive off the get go?
How easy is it to defend early in the game? Without walls, are your cities exposed to armies early on? How hard is defending your cities?
How easy is it to build a significant army quickly? How easy will rushing be? Can large armies be built overnight?
How exactly does science work in this game? Is it one national tax that funds research or is it individual buildings? How expensive is it to fund? How quickly does research take?
I am sure I will come up with more questions based on your responses. And of course there will be more questions that I think of later on but that should give you a nice start.
edited for spelling, if only we could get a spell check
About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.

you have a diplomacy screen to make proposals. i'll post a screen later today

units and citizens count together in a single pop limit. the pop limit is raised through tech. some units require more than one pop units

you can build fortresses which will defend your territory and are hard to be destroyed. you'll have to keep an army on standby for your defence at all times

well if you have several buildings of the same type...

you have a "knowledge" resource. knowlege is "gathered" in universities(limit of one building per city) which can carry up to 7 scholars(they require some gold but not any big ammounts to be created). in the game setup you have a choice on how expensive you wont research to be. research can take up to a minute(new age)

Thanks Markos.

Do fortresses fire arrows at troops? Do you garrison your army in these buildings? Does the computer AI go straight for the fortresses first? In attacks on cities will we need to attack fortresses first? Are they central to being able to take over an empire?

How much is early game buildings cost? Units? Is it comparable to other RTS (the ones that you have given at least a few minutes to)?

When can you first build universities? Is there a building right off the start that you can use to research? These research points that you collect, do you then spend them whenever you want research? Or do you select what to research and they do that?
Once something is reseached, i.e. flying, how much does it cost before that technology can be used on the battle field? How much does it cost to upgrade?

yes. yes. not really. you'd better. it's the AI's first defence so...
Is it comparable to other RTS
cant really say
When can you first build universities?
very early once you reach the classical age(in the first 3-4 minutes)
These research points that you collect, do you then spend them whenever you want research?
yes

most of the time you have to research an upgrade(which doesnt cost much in comparison to the main tech) in the related building

From an Africanophile (is that a word? ) like me, that inevitably leads to the follow-up question: could you post the African city/leader names? So those of the Bantu, Nubians and Egyptians (in order of importance)...

For Nubia, there are alot of genuine names they could come up with if they do they research... OTOH, I wouldn't be suprised if they just looked at a map of Sudan.
As far as the Bantu, the Bantu are such a large umbrella group they could pick names from practically anywhere. Although, I think central African peoples are the ones usually referred to as Bantu. Historical names from the Congos, Angola, Gabon and Zambia would do nicely.
MarKG: does your beta anything about the "conquer the world" mode? If, so, what is it like? Is it good?
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

How many population spaces does one infantry (actually three) take up? How much population does the two people machine gun take up? How much population does a tank take up? And how much population does a bomber take up? Are there B-2 stealth bombers in the modern age, or are they only in the information age?
