Yes, you can waypoint any unit. However waypointing the general is a much better idea. If you waypoint a specific unit in a group and that unit gets killed, the waypoint is lost and the new troops wind up just standing by the production building until you notice them. That used to happen to me all the time. If you waypoint the general, then as long as the general is still alive you know your waypoint is still good.Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.

Here is one:
Pressing a unit finding key will cycle between the buildings/units that respond to that key (like N for market).
Double pressing (like double clicking) on that key would center the view upon that unit/building.
Triple pressing (fast 3 pressings) will select all the units of that type.
Hope it helps.Vitaly Belman

I see double-clicking on idle citizen
will activate all idle citizens. PLEASE tell me we can do this with military units. i remember in Cossacks game where if you click on one unit and press ctrl+Z, it would highlight and activate all units of that type only (ctrl+A would activate all units).sdaf

With the Data Display (lower right corner) displaying the Ctrl Groups, select the units you want to be in a Ctrl Group, and right-click on the text in the Data Display. The units will be assigned to that Ctrl Group (just as if you'd pressed Ctrl-#). Left-click on the Ctrl Group in the Data Display to select the group, and double-click (I believe) to select and center. Very slick!
