  • Multiplayer game hosting with firewall/nat

Has anyone with a firewall/nat setup successfully hosted a multiplayer game with the in-game multiplayer menu?

There are ports listed in the options menu, and I opened those up, both as tcp and udp, but hosting still doesn't work.

The faq also says that there are problems with NAT when using the out-of-game gamespy program with ron, and then suggests to use the in-game multiplayer menu.

    Any ideas?

What are you using for your NAT/Firewall solution? The Linksys routers have a DMZ option. Set this option to the IP of the hosting server.

I have not tried multiplayer yet. I don't think it's enabled in the Demo version. ?? anyone??

A DMZ is not a viable solution for me.
