    Will this include the use of right-clicking in all the locations where it would minimize the number of total clicks? How about making the site rep screen more organized (like grouping research and etc. tasks together in a single green box rather than multiple colour boxes that cause lots of scrolling).

    For example instead of

    ****************************
    * BlahTechnology has opened up *
    ****************************
    ...

    Just do
    *************************************
    * The following technologies have opened up *
    * - Blah 1 *
    * - Blah 2 *
    * - Blah 3 *
    *************************************

    This saves space and you can do this for techs that have opened up, all the techs that have been discovered in one turn.

    You can also avoid uses a red box for creative races (just put it in brackets in the single research box instead since they will be grouped).

    I would also recommend seperating military items built at various planets from structural ones because often times I like to check out my military queues but leave the other ones. If they were seperated in 2 boxes (instead of N boxes), it would be much easier than sifting through them). I mean, sorting and grouping items is very easy to program guys. This really needs to be done and it shouldn't take more than an hour or two to do.

        One thing you can say

        One thing you can say about the speed of their patching:

        Its certainly helping GalCiv's sales.

        For me though, somewhere inside this monstrosity is the game I want. GalCiv's lack of combat is a big turn off for me.

        I find their continued references to testing and quality to be pure BS. Certainly this product shows no quality control.

        They could put out "beta" patches and get us to test it for them. Anyone who didn't want to take the risk wouldn't have too. Of course, then they'd have to listen to more negative feed back.

        I personally don't like the "modding" concept, I don't want to have to spend as much time tweaking a mod to work as playing the game.

          The QS guys are probably playing GalCiv instead of doing the patch.

            Some people think that patching will make the game into what you want? Granting it will most likely help the AI of the computer players so that they are not so passive and maybe a few other things, but many of the major problems of Master of Orion 3 lies in its design and how it was made, stuff you cant change with patches.

            I exepected a lot from master of Orion III, from all I read and heard and all the time they spent I though it would be a game that I would want to play everyday, but only after a week my copy of Master of Orion III is sitting in my room collecting dust. They really screwed up Master of Orion. At least there is GalCiv.

                Go troll somewhere else Templar. And what people think that Jack? We're just waiting on an official AI fix and the pd bug fix mainly, i'd imagine the wait is because of them sprucing up a few other things too, but i'd personally be happy with just a quick release of the AI/PD fix. I also don't see why everyone views GalCiv as the alternative to the next MoO game.

                No tactical combat, no ship design, limited number of races, only one playable race, ground combat invovles sending billions of regular population into far flung corners of the galaxy, limited amount of resources, planets only have one resource, random events cannot be turned off, all races colonize same planets, etc..

                Sure, its more of a Civ in space but its lacking civ elements too. The terrain improvements that are so important in Civ are reduced to one square starbases. You improve nothing else. Why not allow you to build trade lanes or star gates? Immobile satellites maybe? The "borders" consits of your sector getting colored, its not even the flowing borders of SMAC/Civ3. The graphics are Civ2 era at best, and space is bland.

                Where are the nebluaes, asteroid fields and other various solar debris? Where is the important of terrain? You can't hide in the non-existant asteroid fields, or shield yourself in a nebulae, its just annoying. The game does have some good qualitys, but its not close to MoO and falls short of Civ. The reason the AI is so great is because theres just not much for it to think about.

                  Where? Under a bridge? I think I'll just complain about the lack of a patch right here in the MoO3 General Forum, thank you.

                  GalCiv is less feature-rich, but right now its also a hell of alot more fun.

                    Under a bridge sounds good, i've heard of mountain trolls too so you could try that. I don't see how saying "The QS guys are probably off playing GalCiv" equals "I wish the patch would come out for MoO3". Maybe its one of thost subtle things I keep missing, but it seemed more of a troll then anything else. Like any game you want, just please don't troll for other games in this forum. There is a GalCiv forum you know.

                      It was sarcasm. I know the generation Y needs a smiley to alert it to sarcasm, otherwiser Y-ers will read everything literally.

                      Guess I'm a forum troll. Do something about it.

                        Well at least you admit to it, some trolls think they actually have valid arguements or even worse well thought out opinions. Glad you're not one. In either case, i'm sure it will help people to know wether to just ignore you in the future or not, thanks.

                          Don't take it out on me just because you're waiting for a patch to fix a broken game.

                            Well facts are facts, the game is messed up big time, and most people think, just look at the sales of MOO3, they are falling like a rock, and a patch wont save it. I dont hate Moo3 but it should have been a whole lot better then what we got.

                              Here in Germany MOO3 is on Place 7 of the Sales Chart
                              Of course it isn´t like being on the Top of the Tops (where, at the moment, SPlinter Cell resides) but it´s Top Ten, so at least in Germany the sales won´t be so bad

                              As for the Patch:
                              The List of fixes looks very promising and there obviously will be a lot more fixed than just the AI or PD.
                              For example the Click fest which ensured if you wanted to access the build-menu of a planet will be a thing of the past.
                              And you will see the Envoironmental preferences for your magnate races.

                              After all, many annoying thing of the game will get more streamlined.
                              For the complete list of fixes look here:
