How can this be? How in the wide, wide, world of sports can civ3 be a "Game of the Year?".

Also, the manual is only fair to middlin'. Anyone else notice the name of the game on the spine on the booklet is slightly off? I mean, who looks at these things before they go gold and into production? I'm talking about quality control and pride of accomplishment.
In many ways we see these things in the game, thankfully. I have no complaints so far, except the opening movie runs choppy.
