Read Apolyton forums at work.
Found game at an EB.
Read the manual start to finish.
Loaded the game.
Made my own sub-species of Humans, the Ur-Humans. They are keen. Wrote down what they had going for them, since I'd heard you never get to see that again. Haven't checked that, tho'. I should.
Two arm, large, 5 aliens. Ended up in the Senate.
Went to every screen and sub-screen once, just looking and reading the Master Tips Monkey Thing.
Tried to wrap my mind around what I'd just seen.
Started looking around my local neighborhood.
Got utterly confused by the map, but in a fun way.
Read Sitreps and tried to understand research.
Tried to vote down everything the Senate wanted to do.
Made scientific spies and sent them to bother the Cynoids.
Killed (very slowly) a Cynoid colony ship with a scout.
Auto-made some more ship designs, bemoaned the lack of upgrades and such.
Still don't really understand what's going on. But I keep clicking next turn.
