    Nice Bernie.

That was a long and supported way of saying don't make up your mind BEFORE reviewing a game.

Although in all fairness I think some of the positive reviews were posted by individuals that likely made up their mind to like it.

Glad I've decided to like it.

I'll say just this: I decided not to buy Moo3 after I read the Orion Sector review. It's not the opinion of the reviewer what really matters, it's the facts. Those are not very different in any of the reviews (although I found the Orion Sector review the best for some reason).

Did you know that in GalCiv, the AI makes you think you are playing against humans? Stop laughing, they mean it!!!

Walmart said that they could sell the game no earlier than the 25th-ish. Walmart also has the power to dictate whether anyone else can sell a game before they can.

Basically, IG either plays ball with Walmart, or Walmart doesn't carry the game. Simple as that. Walmart says they won't carry unless you release it on the 25th. That's what happens.
Much the same as the stranglehold WH Smith has over books in the Uk. They make up such a large part of the popular book sales that they can practically dictate the deals they want. If you don't agree then you lose the biggest market for your product.

Fine by me Delmar.. If you don't like the kind of game they are describing, then Moo3 is not for you. I used the orionsector review extensively, because several times they ran into similar problems as the quarter-to three reviewer.. and found ways to work with them.. and liked the features lots after they did. Now that sounds like the problems aren't a problem for me, but maybe not for everyone.

Same for me- the 'problems' these reviewers are encountering sound more like 'features' to me. Bring on the steep learning curve! I have all day to play.

By the way, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is only $10, plays well, and has a great PBEM interface - OK, the AI sorta stinks, but for playing with other people it's dynamite :P

                thank u Bernie

i read the review and felt some what disheartened

i can see now that the reviewer encounted problems, then rather than learning how to use/fix them decided that the game was crap and painted the whole review with the same brush

how ever it does seem the game could do with a little more polish but then what game couldn't

                bring on MOO3 =)

I think MOO3 is going to fly off the shelves for a few days....people have been waiting so long for it, and I see it mentioned in various lists of anticipated games and such. Whether its good or not, well, I await the user reviews on the forums....thats usually where I look to see how a game has turned out. However, if I were to see it on a shelf today, I would probably buy it.
