Thanks Jonah, this is what I was hoping for, clarification on why the other guy said "the fonts blow". He replied to my thread, which nice of him and all, but I have seen hundreds of screenshots and NEVER noticed a thing wrong with the fonts. EVER. So, you have helped clear up some confusion, and for that, my thanks.

Quicksilver should have included a "sharp" font, though - non-antialiased. It's not a problem, though. Readability is what counts.
there's an option in the game settings to turn anti-aliasing off
either in game options or in the .ini file.

Uh oh...don't tell us that we might need to touch something in the INI file. LoL
it's an option we had in the in-house builds to test Kerning in fonts, and I can't remember if we put it in the game options screen or not. There were a lot of 'do we make this a player option' discussion about to include and what not to make available.
of course, .ini futzing is 'non-supported behavior'

"either" in game options or the ini file??
a programmer who made the game doesn't know which?
what's up with that?
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.
everyone up to this point took Rantz' posts as a great source of inside info...
i ALWAYS wondered how an art director had any real knowledge of the actual game programming.
And if he does, GREAT!
if not, why treat his past posts as reliable info?
If he doesn't know how the option in question works, why trust his other posts about game play or anything else?
Point being:
If you say he is just an "art director" , then his posts on the actual details of how the game is programmed mean nothing.
something i have felt all along.
just voicing my opinion. open to replies.

Rantz, you rule. hehe
ini files are like...cars...everyone loves to screw with'em, and only a few know what they are doing.

of course "kerning", the spacing and appearance of letters in a particular font, is custom, and therefore only for those hardcore enough to care.
but, please, a person who has the approval or confidence to talk about the details of the game ought to know the details.
i could not care less about the fonts actually.
as long as they are readable and sharp.
If you are going to post, know the answer or details.
especially if you are the programmer.
kerning...
