If you really want great examples of alliances of convenience, just look at 14th-17th century European history.
), I am thinking that the next game I am going to buy will have to have such a feature. Actually I am a bit surprised that this is not the norm, at least for games like Civ3 where one can mod every freaking thing. Is this perhaps so terribly hard to do?
