Qwerty, good to see you. To bad that once the Senates back up and running the grand Cynoid Ras alliance will have to stomp you and all other enemies of peace, such as the Grendarl.

But Sky, what Velizar & everyone else dosen't seem to realize is that I have 9O of ships moving into his sector as we speak... and another 9O 2 turns away "loaned" to the Sakkra... not to mention the Sakkra's forces.... we have over 30O ready to go...

So do you feel lucky punk? Well do you?

We will when the Psilons begin loaning our tech like crazy, afraid that you might reach them, and our ships become twice as big as yours.

Besides, I know you won't let yourself win, cause that will be the end of the senate, and you don't want that, now do you, enemy of peace?

Plus, basically every race now hates you, so while each individual empire may have a small fleet combined we have enough production plus already prepared fleet to kick you back to the stone age.

                    Just FYI...

If my ships are involved, I will play it STRICTLY by the numbers unless Velizar wants to Handle it... unless the Raas are involved... then we go back to the numbers. Personally, I don't think Velizar will want to handle the combat resolution. So it won't be a matter of "letting myself win".

BTW, do you guys know what on the other side of you.... Klackons & Tachidi, which are already at war with many member of your "alliance"... it's kinda like a sandwich... a tasty one.

But the Klackons already said they weren't going into open conflict yet. And besides, the Tachidi haven't even made contact with us, nor are the Klackon yet strong enough to pose a threat.

I guess the only way to settle this will be in the RPG, when it finally gets up. Then we noble races will show you warmongers the error of your ways.

Hmmm... yes that sounds very peaceful and non-warmongering of you.

Actually, for now, war is the only choice that will allow peace in the long run. The Sakkra have said they won't allow peace, that they eventually mean to invade and destroy everyone. That means that no matter how hard we try to make peace with them, it will just be putting off the inevitable war the Sakkra would declare. As such, the only option that allows for long-term peace is a short-term war to remove those who can not consider peace an option.

So no, it is not war-mongering, it is taking the small war(though I know it will be a hard war to win, compared to one where we allow the Sakkra and unbeknowest to us yet, the Grendarl, grow in strenth until they are ready, it is very small) now so that big wars later still have a chance of being avoided. I know it sounds a tad hypocritical, but it's not, its just cold, hard logic, like the Cynoids would be good at.

Just trying convincing the Imsaeis to send any ships...
Or the Psilons, or Trilarians...oh wait they got kicked out didn't they...well Evon then...and I think the humans might be a little put out too...after all it might seem like they were dying based on the orders of an alien machine....

I think the Sakkra have won a little breathing room, not much but some.

Of course I fully expect to get kicked out of the senate....

I was just messing with you sky...

Your just taking the typical "American" route to peace...

And your right about the Sakkra only to a degree... they were mainly just puffing out their chests and trying to appear strong... such is their way. But the Grendarl will come & provoke conflict before the "alliance" can organize. You are trying to make the odds so far in your favor that the Sakkra/Grendarl have no other choice.

Oddly, I (the Grendarl) was planning to have decent relations with the Raas & Sakkra... but Velizar (the Raas)acted very coldly towards us... Demanding that we "Prove" ourselves. Refusing Trade, etc., even while we offered to protect them and remain neutral in Raas-Sakkra affairs. He even choose to ignore messages sent.

I think the Raas are playing all of you (Honestly I do)... he's been the recipient of A LOT of Aid, eaisly a few extra turns worth of production capacity. Provoking the Sakkra (& he did), provoking relations with the Trilliarian... being the FIRST person to declare war, all the while making a show of how peaceful he is... trying to gain sympathy due to his "past". I HONESTLY believe that the Raas (Velizar) is doing this on purpose... and you all are falling for it hook line & sinker.

Mark my words... once the Alliance & Saurians clash & those forces are weakened... watch who will move in for the kill... I'll bet you it will be the Raas... since his fleet will be untouched, after all he has to protect his people.

The Grendarl will share these thoughts with some of the races "officially" once the game resumes.

Well to be honest I did do my best to sound dangerous...guess I did too good a job...,

the spark that set this all off was the Imsaeis calling out I was building forces to attack them... I really was just securing my borders...I only had 4 offensive units against his 3 defense units(which have that 50% bonus)...if had attacked with that I would have lost...

I tried offer as many kinds of choices to Velizer...
all out war with everybody pouncing on the Sakkra
peace and I get to go back to being my crass self keeping my borders secure...
a limited war just Raas and Sakkra...

Interesting choice he made I think...
