........Is MOO3 going to run on XP?
    Frag Saddam 2003

I don't think there has been a single game released in the last 6 months that doesn't run on XP even if it was not explicitly tailored for it.

XP won't be "officially" supported; the reason I've heard most often is that they don't want to go through the time, hassle, and money that it takes to go through MS's circus to get it "official".

But it's definitely *expected* to run on XP, and I'm sure any XP-specific technical issues would get addressed if they crop up.

Every game I own runs fine in XP from acient MOO/MoM to Warcraft III. So if old Dos games work.....

I haven't tried any Dos games since I moved to XP. Does it get round the conventional memory problems that Win 95/98 had or do you still need a DOS boot disk to run them?

Update: The Infogrames site for MOO3 now lists XP as a supported Operating System. I updated the System Requirements thread on the official forum to reflect this.

So, all you XP users may "officially" rest easy.

Hey, that's what they pay me for...

Well, actually, that's what I volunteer to do. But the former sounds better.

Nah, if you get paid you become an evil capitalist corporate mouthpiece, so we stop thanking you and start screaming when you are 0.00001 nanoseconds late announcing stuff we have no right to demand answers to

Stay amateur and soak up the adoration

Does this mean you're our new MOO3 content editor or do you just sneak over from the QS site occasionally?

                      Heh, fair enough.

I'm not "officially" anything MOO3; so I think the answer to your question is "no".

Unofficially, however, I'm a pretty good source for MOO3; it's just that some things I'm not *allowed* to share until the game goes live. So, you can ask me almost anything you're wondering, and you'll at least get a "Yes/No/NDA" answer.

Aaargh. Immediately all the questions that pop into my head are obvious NDA candidates

You never know ... worst case, I confirm that it *is* NDA material

Have the battle graphics been overhauled since the release of the battle avi?

Is the AI capable of handing you your butt on a platter if you aren't careful?

Do the different races play to their strengths or is the AI pretty generic?

So here's a question for you. Can you tell your spy who to kill, what to destroy or what kind of tech he should steal like in MOO1?

                              Thanks
