Yup, in all these years, I never tried to do anything with the sabatoge popup. They are just an after though, when I have stolen the tech I want and still have few left. I just pay them no attention when they come up as I never cared what happens, except sometimes I would pick bases when they had none as I did not want to destroy any factories that will soon be mine. It is good to know and maybe I will use it some day.

Anguille2, I just got the save loaded finally after Civ3 and Homm3 games. Anyway, how did you get 18 planets as Darloks, while Meks only have 2? Maybe I can use some more help? I have not played on other than hard and impossible in some time, but I do not recall doing that well. I tend to play on small universe and can not afford to have planets unprotected at those levels, so a colony ship needs an escort most of the time, certainly after the first 3-4 planets. Even with a ship, I have the AI drop a ton of invaders on me and take over sometimes. The 5th or 6th planet is often a long time on going tug of war to see who can hold it. Once I hold it the game is over. What is the level and map size? I was going to paly it out, but it is already over.

I do not want to be unkind, but when I see a home world (Nazin) as a Rich planet in Moo1, I begin to start thinking of an Editor. Yes, I know an event could take place, but they tend to not come to the race that is on top. Anyway, if no editor was involved and you say so, that is good enough. That could explain all the planets, a rich home world.

I played it out to 2489 and voted myself in with 44 planets. I think the next one had about 6 or so, not even funny. I had forgotten that with lots of empty planets you can ignore defense as they will not attack until planets are scare. In a small universe that is very soon, with max races. At impossible and hard the research boost makes them a bit harder, if you can not get enough planets to catch up. I remember why I skip the larger universes, you have to keep cranking out colony ships, it gets to be a pain and you can have so many planets that tech is dropping on you every time you turn around. The draw for tech was embarressing, soil/adv soil/atmospheric terraforming, dam, got everything and an ultra rich to go with the rich home world. That is just mean. The AI has no chance, cranking out a large ships with phasors while they have small with lasers or maybe ion cannon. Adam armor, they have the min one and on and on.It was a crying shame.

IIRC, I've had my home planet's mineral richness increase from an event during a game a few times...

Yes, I said that could happen, it is quite rare. I only said it makes it come to mind, not that it was the case.

Nope...no editors. Just had the luck that the planet became rich, don't remember when though

Does anyone know if Windows 2000 is supported? All I've seen so far is 9x, ME, and XP. I wanted to update my 98 machine to 2000 but I'll have to wait if it's not supported.

I can not say for sure, but the kernel is basically the same, the issues is about direct x support. Anyway, why go to 2000 instead of XP? 2000 is a dead system.

XP is an evil system that swallows the souls of innocent children and men alike. If I wanted Microsoft to own me I'd let 'em put a chip in my head....

I've looked at it and I don't really like it. Although supported products are getting there, it's not where I'd like it to be. I also don't like the licensing mechanism that comes with XP. Is it hot in here? Where is that heat coming from? My wallet is smoking...Good lord it's my microsoft card AHHHHH!!!ITBURNSITBURNS!!!GETITOFFME!!!I'MSORRYBIL L!!!!

Win 2K is supported since it's the system that all of us Developing the game are running. And it runs very nicely on Win 2K.
(personally all of my systems, both personal and work run win2K, and I have yet to find a game that won't work on it. Wouldn't run XP if you paid me. But, that's just me.)
