I was hoping someone got him as the first one, but I will take any hire that anyone has for now. Just add back in any famous discount.

Are the probabilities affected by anything (other than repulsive, of course.) I recall seeing some faces often and others VERY rarely. -- But then I typically play with the same or similar options and the same outward face (Elerain.)

Repulsive/Charismatic traits nd having any Leaders that are Famous. Those are the ones I know of. The first few leaders are normally the low level ones. I suspect that the standing in the game may have an impact. Do you get nominated or not, that sort of thing.

There are generally 5 "waves", hence probably why there are five leader levels (or vice versa).

Each leader has a MINIMUM spec. That is, some leaders will never appear at the start, because simply their attributes are never that low.

The leaders who show up at the beginning are all the leaders who start from the lowest %s (5/5*/7/7*/10/10*)

          Examples: Kimbuzzi, Cyr, etc

After a certain amount of turns, the second wave comes which includes the first wave PLUS the leaders whose minimum spec is (10-20), I'm trying to keep it brief, so don't NITPICK on those numbers.

Examples: Kimbuzzi as 20%, Cyr as 10% etc Razor and Brainiac at their minimum etc

          and this goes on...

Just like each leader has a minimum, they also have a maximum. Not all the farming leaders for examples would reach the same farming bonus... even when the increments are the same.

I remember there were websites with the COMPLETE setup for all the leaders, but these days very few MOO pages are around and even fewer are active.

The level differenciation makes sense & I was aware of that; I was thinking whether or not race selection could affect leader choices.

It feels like race selection affects it. When I am unification, I always seem to get morale leaders. When I am telepathic I get commando leaders. When I am tolerant I get environmental leaders... It just might be my imagination though!

Garth: in my case it doesn't matter what race, colour or government I pick, Cyr is always faithfully knocking on my doorstep...

Hmmm...I hadn't thought about standing. Are you suggesting that being ahead in the game encourages better leaders, or do you belive it discourages them?

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Encourages them. They are attract to success, that is why the Famous trait helps. This is also why playing as a Repulsive and not having a leader you start seeing them once you move up on the graph.

I don't think that success has influence over leaders. It is the game time progress that gives the better leaders. Repulsive starts with the worst possibilities (like Cyr or Kimbuzzi), Normal may get good leaders from the beginning, and probably charismatic has a bonus (haven't played that much so I can't really say).
