Has nobody played Pax imperium? Moo3 is the same game. They tok out the RTS and left you with everything else. I don't mean the games are similar i mean they are the same game. Like the changed the name on the box and made it a turned based game. Same flags, same planets almost the same races same ships same worm holes its the same game! Makes me laugh.

I haven't played pax imperium. Did it work, or work like MoO3?

When I bought MOO3 I expected a lot, and got little back. I have never bought a game that I lost interest in with in a span of 2 weeks untill I got MOO3. I also dont see how a patch can fix the games design flaws. Bugs yes, but redoing the whole game through patches is not going to happen.

Most of the games I have bought I have played for a long time, and had fun with them, MOO3 just is not fun anymore.

I wish luck to those of you trying to wait for the patch, that they said they were going to put out for months now, and I have still not seen it. Quicksilver just has major problems over there, and I wonder if they will even get to realeasing a patch in the first place.

As for Civ3, that was fun out of the box, and all that was fixed was bugs in the game, the design of it was not as screwed up as the one for MOO3 was. And I still play civ3 to this day, while moo3 is collecting dust and soon I will trade it in for a better game(they told me at store I could get 10 to 20 bucks for it towards anther game.)

Again for those of you waiting for the patch, good luck, cause you may never even see it that rate they are going.

Yes

I have always maintained that they needed to get a real patch out quickly, as much as a gesture as anything else.

They gave us the line about their quality control and all of their "processes" and the game still came (frankly) a mess.

However, I am willing to play another game once the patch comes out.

The longer they take the less people will have that attitude. Just look at how dead this board has become (both in dearth of people and dearth of intelligent posts).

My belief is that they realize it will cost too much to get the game into anything resembling a mass-marketable form and are probably going to cut their losses pretty soon.

MOO3 just needs its AI repaired. I am an old MOO fan too so dont you dare roll us all in with your hatred of MOO3, it is the best MOO yet. I feel a need to defend the game because its awesome even if in need of patching. If they just make the ai aggressive + the stuff on the patch notes I will be a very satisfied customer.

Galciv works great but it plays like tic-tac-toe only not as fun. so what..

If only they would release the "impossible" AI they had in late beta as an unsupported version I'd be eagerly trying it now. While irritants like the occasional PD bug are irritating, only the aggression of the Ai is stopping me playing MOO3 now.

I hardly ever post here, but on this one I had to chime in. From what I have seen at every board discussing moo3 AT LEAST half of the people are complaining about how lame the game is.

The game sux. Very, very poor documentation. No feedback on what is happening in the game. No explanation on cause/effect for spying/diplomacy/ECM-ECCM...

On top of all that the game is no challenge. The only way to lose at the game is if you go with the Senate victory option. Then, about turn 200 or so, you get a message that you have lost the game, blah, blah, blah, your empire is destroyed - game over, the end, uh, what happened?.

Everything about the game SCREAMS about a half-assed product rushed out the door. From the lack of uniformity in closing the numerous windows (some have a << BACK >> button some don't, some if you press esc brings you back to the previous screen others kick you back to the main map) to having no effective way to filter the many useless sitreps from the important ones.

I don't hold out much hope for the patch fixing all the problems with this 'game'. QS really blew it on this one. The game is a friggin disaster!
