    Yes, excellent point Barbazoul, I had witnessed that and forgot to mention it in my posts. The AI absolutely should use such a chance to get rid of a transport.

      I'm changing my mind about trading techs. It's still a pain (I offered the idea of a tech auction, but it didn't take, I guees), but I'm convinced it helps the human player in two ways: tech whoring (which the AI doesn't target, it seems) and game pace.

      The first one allows the human player to leverage "yellow" research, and the second one just picks up the pace of the game a bit. I found with tech trading turned off that the game felt slower (although, not wasting all that micro whoring techs makes the game feel less cumbersome!).

        Yeah, I have the same feeling, but the problem that switching off tech trade disadvantages the civs that are strong in diplomacy, since it constitutes such a big portion of the diplomatic actions.

          I am still somewhat convinced that the AI would be helped a lot by going for yellow techs with more passion - much more than now.

                Thanks a lot Colon, got sidetracked by my Physical Therapy due to my Spinal Surgery, so hadnt played anymore Gal Civ II but hopefully starting tommorrow will be able to find time
